Carnival policy, plus our opinion — labelled
Booking a Carnival cruise, in plain English
Deposits, final payment, what happens if you cancel, and why four fares on the same sailing are four different products rather than four different prices.
The tables below are Carnival’s own policy as we captured it; the commentary around them is ours, and it is opinion, not policy. These rules cover individual (FIT) bookings in USD on Carnival Cruise Line. Carnival Australia and UK differ, group bookings differ, and Carnival’s own terms always win over this page.
What you pay, and when
You hold a cabin with a deposit and pay the rest at final payment. Miss final payment and Carnival cancels the booking automatically — this is the single most common way people lose a cruise, and it is entirely avoidable. We diary it for you.

We diary all of this for you
Final payment, the claim window, the last day to change.
None of those dates will email you. Missing one costs real money. Booking through us costs you nothing extra and puts a person on the file who is watching them.
